What we collect

You don’t need an account to use this site. When you search by ZIP code or city, we use it only to find gardens near you. We don’t save searches to a profile.

If you send the “add or update a garden” form, we keep what you send (and your name, email or phone if you give them) so we can check the listing and reply. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and pages viewed, for security.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use this site: which pages they visit, how they found us, and which buttons they tap, such as search, directions or call buttons. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects details such as your device, browser, approximate location and the pages you view. We don’t send your name, email or anything you type into our forms to Google Analytics, except the ZIP code or city you type into search. You can opt out with Google’s opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies. Google explains its use of this data in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

We also use Microsoft Clarity to see how people use our pages, through heatmaps of where visitors click and scroll and recordings of visits with what you type into forms hidden. Clarity uses cookies too. Microsoft describes its use of this data in its privacy statement.

We don’t use advertising cookies. If we add advertising, we will update this page first.

Listings

Listings describe gardens and organizations, not people. A garden can ask us to correct or remove its listing at any time.
