How One Garden Membership Gets You Into Other Gardens
Short answer: Many garden memberships include free or discounted entry to other gardens through the American Horticultural Society’s reciprocal network. The Morton Arboretum says its members get this at more than 360 gardens across North America.
How it works
The Morton Arboretum’s visit page lists, as a member benefit, free or discounted entry to more than 360 botanical gardens across North America through the American Horticultural Society’s Reciprocal Garden Network.
Chicago Botanic Garden describes its membership card as a “passport” to special admission privileges at horticultural organizations throughout North America.
Benefits are set by the garden you visit, not the one you joined. Some give free entry, others a discount, and special events are often excluded. Call or check the garden’s site before you go, and bring your membership card.
